The Pentarot Puzzle

I was inspired to create the Pentarot rotational puzzle by the Penrose P1 tiling. I do not think that the resulting puzzle is physically realizable - it is just a computer game. We have 5 intersecting rings with pentagons, the rings may rotate and the goal ist to scramble and then restore the puzzle. I implemented three different color schemes which are increasingly difficult to solve.

You also can add orientations to the pentagons or allow not only the rings to rotate but also the centers of the rings. Both leads to an additional level of difficulty.

In the case of additional center rotations a rotation may block the neighbor circles so it is easy to get stuck.

Eventuallly you want to Download the Windows x64 exe file at this point if you like to play the puzzle before proceeding to the next pages..
